Fulfilling the Great Commission by raising Christ-centred disciples to plant vibrant, biblical churches in our cities and countries all over the world

From 10-13 July 2014, Hope Brisbane played host to the bi-annual Global Conference and the 2014 Oceania Convention at the beautiful Unidus Community Centre. “Power14” was this year’s theme reflecting the focus on the supernatural power of God through healings and signs and wonders. This year’s speakers were Pastor Wilson Lim, Pastor Simon Eng, and Pastor Randy Clark. There was an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation in the weeks leading up to Power14. There was also a lot of hard work as demonstrated through the tireless work of organising committee and over 200 volunteers.

Global Conference began on Thursday morning as Hope Brisbane welcomed delegates from 14 countries including the United Kingdom, Germany and Canada. The delegates received an update on the HIM before entering into a time of ministering blessing everyone present. It was soon followed by workshops and interest groups; topics ranging from leadership to evangelism in a post-modern context.

Thursday evening saw the beginning of Oceania Convention. As is now the tradition, an energetic and well-choreographed dance performance kicked off the Oceania Convention. Pastor Simon preached on how all believers can perform signs and wonders for Jesus’ name.

Friday and Saturday saw Pastor Randy Clark teaching the delegates about healing and impartation designed to equip, build faith and encourage Christians and the church. With a balance of strong biblical knowledge and engaging personal testimonies, Pastor Randy Clark inspired the congregation to seek the supernatural power of God and to see signs and wonders. There were also interviews with Pastor Randy Clark who shared his insights and perspectives about serving in the healing ministry. After every session, people responded to the Holy Spirit and sought impartation and anointing to minister to people through words of knowledge and healing.

On Saturday evening, there was a Healing Rally which was open to the community. Praise God that we saw over 100 healings! The congregation heard various testimonies about healings from serious injuries and illnesses. Pastor Randy Clark then opened the floor for individuals with a word of knowledge to come forward and minister to those seeking healing.
The final day was the Sunday celebration service. The session began with a delightful musical item from the children. Everyone then praised and worshipped God for his supernatural power and anointing on the attendees over the last several days. Pastor Wilson preached a sermon on supernatural missions and called for those willing to go for the glory of God. A joyous praise sermon and the unleashing of black and yellow balloons marked a fitting end to Power14.

After bearing witness to God’s amazing supernatural power, every delegate is now eagerly awaiting the 2015 Oceania Convention, “Harvest”, held in Melbourne. Let the countdown begin!
