Fulfilling the Great Commission by raising Christ-centred disciples to plant vibrant, biblical churches in our cities and countries all over the world

HOPE OCEANIA CONVENTION 2019 – SURPASS

Over 400 participants arrived at Philips Island Adventure Resorts on 19th April during the Easter weekend. The theme of this year’s Oceania conference is “Surpass”, encouraging all participants to encounter God immensely, and to step out boldly in faith in fulfilling the Great Commission.

The conference kicked off with Ps Simon Eng’s sharing from the scriptures Matthew 14:25-32 on Peter’s experience of walking on water. To surpass with new and renewed encounters with God, to surpass with new adventures of faith with God and to surpass stagnation.

Sessions on Saturday were filled with eye-opening witnesses of prophet Ps Gary Morgan in action. Many of the participants were awed and encouraged in faith by the accuracy of the many words of knowledge and prophecies shared by Ps Gary Morgan, with the love of our Father. One of these prophecies was for a brother in Brisbane who was not physically present at the conference. The details provided through Ps Gary’s word of knowledge were matched and this brother was identified by some participants in the crowd, and Ps Gary called him to deliver his prophecy on the spot via Facetime!

Ps Wilson Lim shared “Surpassing Reckless Love” on Easter Sunday, highlighting the message that through the death and resurrection of Jesus, the church is empowered to reach the world. Morning sessions were also packed with speakers Ps John Cairns, Ps Tim Edwards, Peter Smith and Ps Ian Foley. Participants were exposed to different perspectives of what God is doing in different parts of the world. On Sunday night, participants had the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with our mission panel, which compromised of all Sunday speakers and children ministry pastor Roselyn Owen. The night concluded with Ps Lance’s message on Missions, and many responded to the move of God and gave their hearts to Christ’s calling in their lives.

The conference concluded on Monday with more impactful sharing by Ps Simon and Ps Wilson. Ps Roselyn Owen led the children on stage to give words of knowledge for healing, many stepped forward to be prayed by the children and asked God for healing with humility.

God showed up and revealed Himself to the hearts of many people during this conference. Let’s pray together for the hearts that were touched by God to bear spiritual fruits for many years to come.
