Fulfilling the Great Commission by raising Christ-centred disciples to plant vibrant, biblical churches in our cities and countries all over the world

On 21-23 January 2019, HIM Global Leadership Summit (GLS19) happened in Singapore. Around 300 pastors, coordinators and leaders of HIM churches all over the world convened and roared for Christ at the Lion City.

The first day focused on ‘Global Family,’ that in Christ, we are one big family. Pastor Simon shared the values of a family, a family that shares a common vision.

Later of the day, participants of GLS19 further bonded over fun and games. Happy 10th Birthday, HIM! 10 years of God’s faithfulness. We used this opportunity to appreciate and honour some churches for their extraordinary achievements. There was also a wonderful time of seeking God through worship, when knees were bowed and hearts, raised. During the Seek Him worship night, there were quite a number of healings including the lengthening of a leg. We give praises to God for His love!

Day 2 called for ‘Discipleship’. Pastor Wilson shared the keys of KNOW-BE-DO and the importance of balancing these aspects. Then we learnt about leading others to surpass us. In the afternoon, there was a Breakout Session whereby GLS19 participants choose a specific topic to learn from. And thereafter, a session for Prophetic Impartation.

At night, HIM had an opportunity to visit Heart of God Church (HOGC). This youth church reminded how paramount the youths are for the kingdom of God, for they are not only leaders of tomorrow, they are leaders of today!

The final day focused on ‘Dynamic Church Planting.’ We got to hear testimonies from different regions and continents. Dynamic still refers to obedience and being led by the Holy Spirit. We then spent the rest of the day with HOGC again learning about building a strong church. Quoting Pastor How, “A big church may not be strong, but a strong church will always grow.”

With hearts full, thank You Jesus, GLS19 participants returned to their respective centers. See you next year at Bangkok GLS20 ! Sawasdi-kha.
