Fulfilling the Great Commission by raising Christ-centred disciples to plant vibrant, biblical churches in our cities and countries all over the world

FORMAL BUILDING OPENING OF
 HOPE CHURCH ADELAIDE

We congratulate Hope Church Adelaide on this momentous milestone! It is incredible that the deal for this building was closed in the midst of the pandemic. God is good. Read on for an account of the day of the official opening and be blessed!

Sunday 2nd May 2021 was a momentous day for all of us in Hope Church Adelaide. It was the day when we celebrated the formal opening of our very own church building after many years of prayers, perseverance and labour! After numerous months of communicating patiently and persevering with the landlord we finally were able to sign the contract of sale on the 2nd July 2020 – in the middle of a pandemic! It was a day to declare and testify to the fact that if we do not grow weary in doing good, we will reap the harvest in due course – if we don’t give up!
(Gal 6:9)

Church buildings are extremely important! Everytime we take a block of land and put a church on it, we are building another altar for God on the face on this earth. We have taken a piece of God’s planet and put a stake on it! We were privileged to have the Deputy Mayor Paul Russell and also our friend Federal Senator Alex Antic to officiate the opening of our building with our Pastors Brendan and Helen with a ribbon cutting time! Both Deputy Mayor Paul Russell and Federal Senator Alex Antic spoke about living for a cause and were very pleased that we can have an ongoing Godly influence in the community now that we have our own building!

We ended the day with an inspiring message from Ps Brendan about honoring God’s sovereignty, trusting in Him, and not blaming Him if things do not go our way! Afterwards we had a great community time of fellowship and lunch!

God has ordained His church to be a place of hope and restoration, a place of worship and a place of change where people can come to know Christ.

It is also a place where families, the young and old, can come together to build a loving community – not just for this generation but for more generations to come! So let’s continue to build God’s church, as the gates of hell will not prevail against it! Hallelujah & Amen!
